Stakeholders' "Love Your Parks" Summit

The Dallas Park and Recreation Board and Department, with the financial support of the Dallas Parks Foundation, is hosting a summit to educate citizens about the benefits of parks and recreation programs on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fair Park. Mayor Tom Leppert will be the keynote speaker.

Participants may choose one session per time slot of the citizen-focused breakout sessions related to the critical role parks and recreation programs and services contribute to the economic, social, health and environmental vitality of Dallas and its neighborhoods.

In-depth parks and recreation summit brings individuals and groups together to:

  • Discover effective ways to elicit public and community involvement for Dallas parks and recreation programs
  • Share the essential benefits of parks and recreation programs with elected officials, community decision makers, friends and neighbors
  • Become a citizen advocate! Learn how to work closely with Dallas Park and Recreation Department and Board to address common community causes
  • There are 2 Session Times, Please select only 1 session each for 10:45 and 12:45.
